North Tenants Business Network Meeting in Partnership with 'Do Business Network'
Our May meeting is set for THURSDAY, 22nd MAY 2025 - 9:00-11:00AM (please note the change of day). The venue for the meeting is Derwentside Business Centre, Unit 18, Consett Business Park, Werdohl Way, Consett, County Durham, DH8 6BP.
Come along to network with the support of Business Durham and the 'Do Business' Network.
The Northern Tenants Network is an expanding group of businesses from the North of County Durham who meet on a regular basis to share best practice, discuss problems and to hear about business funding and support. The meetings provide the opportunity to network with other County Durham Businesses.
We are very excited to be hosting this networking event alongside the 'Do Business' Network - a dynamic business network that gives hands-on, practical support to small businesses across the north east. The 'Do Business' Network recognises that times are challenging for small businesses in the North East of England but they also present great opportunities. Their aim is to help to build a thriving and informed business community by harnessing the skills and expertise of local business owners to provide business-to-business support and act as mentors. They are delivering support to over 160 small businesses and they'd like to help yours too!
Not only do we have the 'Do Business' Network but we also have breakfast!! Food will be served from 9.00am. Grab a bacon or veggie sandwich then network with other local businesses before gathering to listen to Melanie from the 'Do Business' Network and Stuart Armstrong from Business Durham.
If you can't make 9.00 am because you have other commitments such as the school run please don't worry - just arrive when you can.
We love to hear about your business; do you have any good news to share or have any business support needs? Please don't be shy. Speak up, tell us about what you do and your motivation for doing it. Bring your business cards, your Linked In profile and your phones and make the most of this free opportunity to expand your business network. There's so much going on in the region and this is a fantastic opportunity to find out more.

BEAMISH MUSEUM SMALL NETWORKING SESSIONS
As we are Beamish Museum business members, we have a pass that allows up to 5 people entry into the Museum.
We thought it would be a great idea to offer this pass to DBN members who would like to network in a small group of 5 - this is a great opportunity to:

CAN YOU GIVE YOUR CUSTOMERS A BETTER ONLINE EXPERIENCE?
Introducing a new service for DBN members
How easy is it for your customers to find the products and services they are looking for and how easy is it for them to buy from you?
Here's how it works. We invite a couple of our members to meet with you online to chat about what you want your website and social media to do for your business. Over a few days they will visit your website and media pages as "shoppers" and then give you constructive feedback about what works and what could be even better. We have a checklist of things to look for so it is consistent no matter who carries it out.
Please let us know if you would like us to check out your website or the social media pages you sell from and we'll set up an online meeting between you and your two "shoppers" so you can chat about what you need from your customer experience healthcheck.
