CATHERINE'S FESTIVE FUN RUN/WALK 2024

If you are local to the Consett area and you’d like to get involved in some fun, festive , family fundraising, you might like to come along to the Catherine’s Festive Fun Run/Walk on Sunday, 15th December 2024 - starting from 9:30.

On 20th December 2018, my wonderful wife Catherine lost her brave fight against Breast Cancer.  She spent her final weeks in St Cuthbert's Hospice in Durham, a place that means so much to my family as they gave the most amazing, end of life care to Catherine before she passed away.

We are approaching the 6 year anniversary of her passing and would like to mark this by raising some money for the hospice so they can continue to give the excellent care to others who are sadly in a similar position.

Our children were only 5yrs (Ethan) and 3yrs (Kara) when mummy became a star in the sky.

The three of us would love for you to join us once again for the very last time for our 6th and final fun run, to run, walk, hop, skip or crawl in the park where we as a family spent so much time, before enjoying a piece of cake and a hot drink.

Catherine's Fun Run will take place in Blackhill and Consett Park on Sunday 15th December.  After the fun run there will be the opportunity to buy coffees, teas, cakes and bakes from the bowling club house for a donation and we will be also holding a raffle with some fantastic prizes, a tombola, guess the name of the reindeer and there may be a visit from Santa himself.

For more details you can pop over to their Facebook page.

All donations received go to St Cuthbert's Hospice in memory of Catherine Groves ❤️
