Last night Melanie and David enjoyed a fundraising celebration evening at Willow Burn Hospice.
This annual evening is an opportunity for the team at Willow Burn Hospice to thank the local community fundraisers who have ran, walked, hiked, jumped, baked along with everything else to help raise much needed funds for our local hospice.
Collectively the attendees in the room had raised just shy of £12,000 in 2024. Chief Exec David Barker, Head of Fundraising Rachel Quince and Marketing Manager Ali English were all there to thank everyone for their continued support and to share heart felt stories about local people who have benefited from using their end of life services and respite care.
DBN Director, Melanie Cant said, " I personally know friends who have used Willow Burn Hospice for end of life care. The kindness and support they offer people going through an emotional and distressing time is outstanding. Support is also given to family members after their loved ones have passed and this has been a such a comfort to those going through the grieving process. We are so lucky to have Willow Burn Hospice in Co Durham and I will continue to support the charity in 2025 and beyond."
We will release more information about our fundraising plans for Willow Burn Hospice in early 2025. If anyone would like to get involved, please contact us.
