Spotting NMW mistakes
At the end of May, HMRC will send an educational letter to workers in the North East area. This will provide workers with information on how to spot that they have been underpaid and what to do if they think they have been.
If there have been underpayments it can be reported by going to GOV.UK and searching ‘complain about pay and work rights’.

If they’d prefer to speak to someone, or need more advice before reporting an underpayment, they can call the ACAS helpline on 0300 123 1160 (Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm). The helpline has a free translation service for over 100 languages.
