Have you all heard about the amazing new machine that can remove the ink from printed paper so your A4 sheets of office paper can be reused for up to 10 times? Allegedly this is an environmental benefit saving paper... Can you imagine the carbon footprint of producing these machines, the energy costs to run them and the chemicals they must use?
Far better to check out some of the environmentally friendly, socially responsible paper produced from waste material.
Here at Robson Print we are great fans of a Crush range which uses biproducts from fruit, nuts and cereals (you can see how it is made here). Not only does it suit our environmental objectives it also holds print well and looks and feels great.
So we are super excited to discover a new range of paper launched at COP26 which uses the stems and leaves of agricultural crops which would usually be destroyed, no chemical bleaching is involved making this 30% more environmentally friendly than recycled paper and it has a 47% lower environmental impact than FSC stock made from trees.
Incredibly sustainable no extra land is needed for growing, waste is not burnt saving more carbon emissions - it is recyclable, compostable and completely unbleached. So forget magic ink removing machines and talk to us about being Paper Wise.
