After ten years providing grants to 1,000s of North East businesses NBSL have reached the final year of the North East Business Support Fund. With European funding ending in 2023, the North East Business Support Fund, which operates in Northumberland, Tyne & Wear and Durham, is due to close in March 2023.
What does this mean for applications? NBSL recommend any applications be submitted as soon as possible - they expect demand to be high over the coming months. Final applications for funding will need to be in by the end of this year to allow time for projects to be completed and grants to be paid but, this date could be brought forward dependent on fund allocation. Their advice - get your application in without delay to ensure swift support.
They only have enough funding available to support a further 65 businesses based in County Durham and a further 195 business based in either Tyne & Wear or Northumberland - if you are aware of any business who may have an eligible project, NBSL would encourage them to apply without delay to secure a grant
