DBN member, large format printers Design X-Press are proud to be able to announce that they have been short listed in the North East Business Awards for our region, for an Innovation and Technology Award. Selected as one of 3 finalists in this category, this award identifies and rewards companies who have embraced new technology to drive their company forward.
Design X-Press have demonstrated this with their investment into two presses in 2020 followed by a new cutting table in 2022.
The Jetrix LXi7 is an LED flat bed with white ink for digital printing to substrates such as foamex, correx, dibond and sheet fed card. The Oce Colorado is a roll to roll press for printing posters, banners, pull ups, wall and floor applications.
The North East Business Awards toast success, celebrate achievement and highlight successful and innovative businesses throughout the North East. Business owner Juliette Brown will be attending the event with her team of 9 staff at Ramside Hall on June 9th.
This fantastic news has come at a time when the business, which suffered hugely during the pandemic, sees itself reaching pre-covid trading levels after two very challenging years. In fact, 2 years prior and only one month before the 1st pandemic lock down, Juliette and her team were at the same event, having been shortlisted in the Growth and Ambition category, only to find out that they were about to face the most difficult time in business to date. Recently, Design X-Press completed projects for the NuCastle Foundations new site and are on with a large signage contract for Visit County Durham.
Juliette said: “I have entered the Awards again this year for my staff, as it’s such a great event to be part of and it gives everyone a boost. The staff are the reason the business is successful and are such a committed, dedicated and flexible team. The support they gave me during the past 2 years has been remarkable and they showed resilience and adapted to change.
“I am so proud of this business and the incredible reputation we have accomplished in a competitive industry. We work with some incredible businesses of all sizes and types. It’s been a challenging roller coaster journey but I wouldn’t change it for the world”.
