A free walk as part of this year's Heritage Open Days. Come and explore the hidden nature of the Lower Derwent Valley with local historian and ornithologist Michael Turner.
The Derwent Valley is steeped in natural and industrial history, where often the two merge into one.
This guided walk will take in old ruins, a historic ford and look into how hidden nature helps develop this ancient woodland with the help of birds and fungi.
