In case you’ve missed it, "DBN - The Movie" is on our website and we’ve been getting amazing feedback from across the UK, Europe and now from the heart of film making itself - Los Angeles!
Lisa Doctor enjoyed a sixteen-year career as a development and production executive in Los Angeles at such companies as Universal Pictures, Warner Brothers and Tristar Pictures. In 1995 she switched gears to become a staff writer on ABC’s “General Hospital” and its spin-off, “Port Charles” and was nominated for a Daytime Emmy Award and Writers Guild Award for her work as part of the “General Hospital” team. Today she leads weekly writing workshops in Los Angeles, and also teaches at the UCLA Extension Writer’s Program. It was lovely to receive this wonderful email from Lisa:
"I LOVED watching the video! I can see why you love your work so much Gary. The testimonials from the business owners about why they chose to go out on their own are super inspiring. When I left the movie biz, I knew I wanted to be of service and meet as many people in the world as possible. Seeing the lovely smiles of the people in your video was like taking a trip to England and getting to know new people.
Seeing this has made my morning bright and cheery.
Huge hugs from out west,
Lisa xx"
Thanks to everyone who took part. Fancy a sequel?
