Land of Oak & Iron recently sent an invite out to local artists and makers to see if anyone would be interested in taking part in our new 'Meet the Maker' events.
We have had such a great response from a range of creative people including illustrators, willow artists, painters, glass makers and potters.
now have artists and makers booked in for our 'Meet the Maker' events well into December!
Each artist/maker will have their own solo show in our gazebo outside the Heritage Centre near the Courtyard area.
Meet the Makers - Ruth Thompson & Liz Beech
Saturday 29th August, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
The next of our Meet the Maker events is with local Willow artists and basket makers Ruth Thompson & Liz Beech.
Ruth & Liz will be available to chat about working with willow - you can also purchase their hand-made baskets, sculptures and other willow creations, some of which are currently on display in café shrub.
Why not commission either Ruth or Liz to make you something special and bespoke.
As with all our Meet the Maker events, free to drop by anytime between 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Don't forget café shrub is open for both take-out and table service from 9am every day.
Treat yourself to a cuppa', freshly baked cake and sweet treats, breakfast or lunch.
