Geordies Signs is a fast-growing sign and graphics production and installation company based in Consett, County Durham. We specialise in signage and graphics for the retail, commercial, transport, and education sectors. We are looking to recruit an apprentice to join our talented team. For the right candidate, this is a unique opportunity to join our group of specialists and grow in a company that values your input and rewards your effort.
We are looking for a candidate who is dexterous and who already has a passion for graphics, art and design, but please bear in mind this is not a graphic design apprenticeship. We already employ exceptional graphic designers. This is a manual/physical job based in a sign production workshop.
Please note: part of your interview will involve a practical task to assess dexterity, an essential skill in this role.
Typical daily duties will consist of:
- Maintaining and operating machinery: printers, plotters and laminators
- Preparing and fitting vinyl graphics
- Making and installing banners and sign boards
- General housekeeping
- The possibility of a full-time post in production upon completing the apprenticeship.
