It’s the end of July already so it seems like a good time to take stock of what we’ve all achieved together.
DBN is a team effort delivered by our members for our members. Since 1st April we’ve had 20 online events, reviewed 19 members websites, produced 17 newsletters, had a great event at Beamish Museum and delivered bespoke support to over 100 local businesses. We’ve also been able to pay the experts in our network to deliver mentoring to other members.
Best of all, we've had lots of emails and messages to say “thank you DBN”!
We’ve been recording many of our workshops and these are being edited and uploaded to our website for our members to access from next week. This is a DBN members-only benefit and if you're not a member you can easily join via the DBN website.
We’ve also had a great response to our requests for podcast volunteers (or is that volunteers to be podcasted?). The first four completed will win an adult pass to Beamish Museum and once we have them recorded, we'll be announcing the winners.
Our #DOBUSINESSLOCAL campaign is attracting a fair bit of attention from as far away as Portugal and we’re going to be really pushing this campaign over the next few months to help boost our local economy.
At the start of the crisis we suspended our membership renewals to help our members out. From 1st August we need to charge for membership again but at just £99 for a whole year we reckon we have to be the best value business network around. We’ve introduced easy payment packages so you can spread the cost too.
