From Hays Travel for Business . . .
We are using the attached images across our social media channels which we would be delighted if anyone can share. As this is a time of uncertainty not only for the travel industry but on a global scale for many, many companies. Airlines are following FCO advice and cancelling flights for the foreseeable. With this in mind, Hays Travel and Hays Travel for Business are encouraging all holidaymakers and business travel clients to amend their bookings for future dates. We have adopted our ‘peace of mind guarantee’ of free cancellations and free amendments up to 6 weeks before departure.
Asking all to simply postpone their travel arrangements to later dates and not to cancel if possible. If anything, everyone will need something to look forward to once this all calms down.
Majority of airlines are allowing free amendment fees to change departures to later dates, just have to pay the fare applicable for their chosen date. We are receiving updates constantly and all information will be shared across our social media platforms and online. Hays Travel are dealing with each holiday booking in priority of departures and we ask for customers only to contact us if travelling within 2 weeks. Assurance for all our customers we are working very hard to assist and book alternatives.
This is a very testing and stressful time for everyone and we appreciate those who have holidays booked will be looking for answers.
Please also can everyone be aware that any travel insurance policy taken out from now (And I believe from last week) may not or possibly not be covered for Covid 19. PLEASE check directly with the insurance companies. We always encourage travel insurance to be taken out as soon as you book a holiday / flight as you covered from the date your policy is issued – illness, loss of employment etc. However this pandemic is a different issue (Insurance companies directly can advise)
If Hays Travel can be of any assistance please do not hesitate to contact our customer services. Ways of contacting Hays can be found here.
We just ask that everyone stays patient!
